Our Rotation Specializes in CARING for Patients
Compassionately caring for patients with focus on the social determinants of health and the ways that community health centers meet these needs. You will be challenged to think about these needs in all steps of caring for patients and in all patient care settings including opportunities to learn from the Pharmacist, Dietitian, and Community Health Workers!
We offer the following:
A) Advocacy training surrounding issues that impact caring for the underserved and will teach you to be a strong ally and advocate for patients!
B) Revolutionary cultural humility training through a groundbreaking curriculum that includes working with a diverse population of patients from all over the world.
C) Experience innovating a project of your own that addresses a current unmet need surrounding patient care or social determinants of health. That’s right, YOU design it, and you even get the opportunity to present it to our leadership team.
Nationally available for applications from medical students across the country, this rotation has garnered interest for a fixed number of spots for 4th year rotators interested in family medicine. We offer multiple dates and will work with your school to accommodate your scheduling needs.
Garnering relationships with like-minded professionals for future opportunities including mentorship and further rotations.
